If you are resident in Italy, you have the right to vote in local comune and EU elections (you vote in your
own country at National level).
If you want to vote, you have to apply for it as it isn't automatic. Also, quote the law as some
official staff are unaware of your rights.
Write a letter (in Italian) and take it with a copy of your passport to get your card. For help, here
is an example (using Martina Franca in this example):
Martina Franca, ...............
In fede,
.......................
Include your name, birthplace and date of birth, adress in Italy and UK, date and signature.
Then all you need to do is find someone to vote for who can represent your interests on whatever issues
you have, be they animal welfare, traffic, trash collection etc. etc.
